Today we have news broadcasts
24/7, seven days a week. If we are not anchored in "The
Word," Jesus Christ, we will become like the people without
Christ. We will understand, think, and behave like the world
which is without Christ. The world has no knowledge
relationship with Christ. The world is like the "blind
leading the blind" unable to see where they have been, where
they are, or where they are going.
If Believers are not spending
as much, or more, time in scripture as they are with the bad
news of the world they will be distracted from the blessing
and promise of God. Believers more connected with the world's
news than God's news, prophesy, given them in advance to
help them overcome the times in which they live will be of
little or no effect in giving the hope of Christ, the Good
News, to those lost, floundering, and depressed people
around them.
Believers have been given
advanced knowledge not just to know what is happening, to
quietly and smugly sit and watch, but to engage the world
with the Gospel as events confirm God's Word. The world's
news is
actually helping Believers have confirmation of Christ and
all of scripture to bring the lost into the Kingdom of God!
Remember...
We need to always focus on Christ!
The blessings of
our Lord on you and all that is yours by blood, adoption or assignment!
