"Scripture And Agreement"
By

Christmas
seems to bring more unity among believers. Most
congregations will hear the same scriptures read with which
they have become so familiar. The renderings in the Gospels
do differ to some degree but this does not reveal conflict
or disagreement among those who recorded the events.
It is interesting to note that while Matthew was a tax
collector he makes no reference to the census mentioned by
Luke. These differences in their approach are just that,
different aspects of the same story, not discrepancies.
Let the naysayers bellow in their foolishness. Enjoy the
birth of the Savior but don't keep him in the manger, on the
cross, or in the tomb because without the resurrection and
ascension there would be little reason to celebrate
Christmas. Jesus' birth is not only the "reason for the
season" but the beginning of hope for all people and the
restoration of relationship with God for all who would
believe!
Remember...
We need to always focus on Christ!
The blessing of
our Lord on you and all that is yours by blood, adoption or assignment!
